1st Amendment

The 1st Amendment describes all the basic freedoms of US citizens. A few of the rights would be freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and freedom of press.
2nd Amendment

The 2nd Amendment states the right to bear arms, which means having a certified gun in your possesion. The 2nd Amendment also states the restrictions for having guns.
3rd Amendment

The 3rd Amendment states that the government cannot use private homes as military quaters. The meaning of this amendment, is that the government cannot force citizens to have soliders live in their homes.
4th Amendment

The 4th Amendment secures protection of property. The government cannot search your property without a warrant from a judge.
5th Amendment

The 5th Amendment states the rights of citizens accused of a crime. If the accused cannot affored a lawyer, thhen the government must provide them one. A part of the amendment that is very popular would be, you also have the right to remain silent, or "I plead the 5th."
6th Amendment

The 6th Amendment states that all citizens accused of a crime, have a right to a fair court trial. The amendment also says citizens have the right to a "fair and speedy" trial.
7th Amendment

The 7th Amendment describes the right of citizens to settle lawsuits over property and money. The lawsuit value must exceed $20.
8th Amendment

The 8th Amendment describes the terms of bail, which means to grant liberty to somone under arrest. The amendment also states that punishment given can not be "cruel and unusual".
9th Amendment

The 9th Amendment states that citizens have other rights as well, beyond the rights already stated. Some of the rights stated are, freedom to marry and raise a family and freedom to live anywhere you choose.
10th Amendment

The 10th Amendment describes what power is given to states. The amendment states that the people and the states have all the power, except for what the Constitution gives the goverment.
